Biography
Gary has over 30 years’ experience, having started in private practice quantity surveying, eventually working as a client-based quantity surveyor responsible for the running of a number of large, intermediate and small contracts from the initial feasibility estimate through to Final Account.

Experience of contractual, legal and claim matters, was developed at a construction contract consultancy where he was involved in the preparation of a multi-million pound rolling claim in the light rail industry.

He went on to further his experience in contract and commercial roles which lead him into the rail industry, where he stayed for five years eventually becoming Commercial Manager for a Main Contractor in the sector.

Since then, his experience has been concentrated with consultancies specialising in construction, civils, energy and rail disputes, where experience has ranged from commercial audits and project health checks to preparation of claims, defending claims and taking the leading role in adjudications.

He also gained experience in litigation support for international arbitrations and expert witness cases, as well as corporate recovery where he worked with insolvency practitioners in debt realisation.

More recently, he has taken a leading role in large overseas disputes especially in the Middle East and Europe providing commercial, contract management and claims support to leading clients.
