Dylan graduated from Northumbria University in 2022 with a RICS accredited Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
He also has a BA in Business Management (2:1) and is set to enrol in a Masters in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution.
Dylan began his career with a multinational mining company on one of the UK’s largest deep mine projects. Whilst on this project, Dylan acted as commercial lead for over 30 packages of work, the nature and discipline of which ranged from site-wide reactive electrical maintenance works, to commercial management of labour, spare parts, modifications and commissioning of specialist shaft sinking machines and equipment. This experience has provided him with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in shaft sinking as well as underlining the importance of the synergistic approach required on projects in order to minimise potential disputes and delays.
Dylan joined Blake Newport in July 2022, since when he has provided commercial and contract management services to a major client within the mining sector, and supported a steel fabrication company involved in projects across the UK.
Dylan is experienced in working on bespoke contracts to ensure the best value for clients, as well as standard forms of contract such as NEC and FIDIC.
