About Blake Newport
Who we are and what we do
From a partnership in Darlington, Blake Newport has developed over the years, into a national multi-disciplinary consultancy. We have been delivering contract and commercial management services and assisting our clients in the management of their financial and commercial interests on a diverse range of projects throughout the last 30 years. These have ranged from major IT outsourcing contracts in both the public and private sectors, through public infrastructure projects in transport, energy and water supply, public and private construction and engineering projects in numerous sectors.
Following the year on year success and the demands of our clients we have, from our original office in Darlington, established further offices in Leeds, London and Warrington. From these offices we provide services to both national and international clients both in the UK, Europe and further afield such as Japan, Malaysia, India, Oman and Russia. We have also presented at conferences in the UAE and the UK on specialist topics.

Sustainability and Quality are not buzz words for us - they are a way of working. We achieved ISO 9001 in 2007 and are fully committed to maintaining this certification year on year; improving our processes and systems to ensure we provide a quality service to our clients. Sustainability is something we advocate to all our clients when we start a project - are the products we are using now still going to be the best products in 10 years time - can anything be recycled.

None of this would be possible without the high calibre of staff we employ. Recognising that each of our clients’ demands is unique, we deliver a bespoke service to suit our Clients’ needs and wants. Blake Newport consultants are highly experienced, adaptive and can call upon a significant pool of knowledge retained within the business; bringing our clients a unique problem-solving ability. Based on these measurable qualities Blake Newport has established long-term relationships with many of our clients. All our employees are PAYE staff, we believe in the importance of developing, growing and retaining our expertise and our intellectual property.
Professional Membership
We take an active role in our membership of professional organisations such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Institute of Engineers, Association of Project Managers, the Society of Computers and Law and the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management.
Over 50% of our consultants are dual-qualified; in addition to their professional memberships they have a secondary degree, usually a Master’s in Law. New starters and established consultants alike are encouraged to expand their qualifications and in 2007 we have 10% of the team reading for commercial or legal Master’s Degrees.
